When you look up to an Giant, it will be invisible
In the second screenshot, the Giant is still there, I am just looking up (look at Rotation/ Facing Direction)

Altough it might not be completed. They did add something so you can add armor to the giant.
Anyways, the problem here is the rendering. The rendering of the giant is at the feet, lets say, it is a normal zombie, if you look at rendering. If you don't see the two high anymore, you will not see it anymore.

But what [Mod] Mustek already said, this probably won't be fixed.
The giant is not a completed mob and should not be used.
Bugs regarding this mob will not be fixed unless it gets an official release.
