I don't know if Minecraft just decided to mirror the door texture but it is mirrored. The hinge on the door is on the left side of the door when in 1.7 and earlier it was on the right.

Sonicwave this is not a 1.7 issues. This guy is complaining about the fix for MC-2503, because he thinks the change is a new bug instead of a fix 🙂
1.7 issues are no longer accepted, since many issues (including this one) have been fixed in 1.8. (Probably MC-2053)
