End music will stop every time the ender dragon loads out of view.

This seems to be due to the new multi-threaded chunk rendering. While fighting the ender dragon in survival mode, the song boss.ogg will start to play, but immediately stop once the ender dragon moves out of sight, where the chunks aren't rendered.
