Item randomness non existant direction bug?

So, back in almost every update leading up; items when shot through a block; would usually sporadically/randomly spit out in a random direction. I was looking for a way to make a randomiser and saw a video using this mechanic to create a randomiser. But, in 1.8 this behaviour doesn't work! It sucks! And, i also feel like this could fall to be annoying for other mechanics and systems. So, here's the video of the guy showcasing what should work and what REALLY happens in 1.8 is that it'll ALWAYS be the West!

Here's the way it worked before 1.8:

and this is what its like now:

Please fix it! ;-; Items should be random not all going to the west; the world isn't tilted. ... or is it?

Well, seeing as the original design was using a bug, this probably isn't going to be changed. It's just a different bug now. By the way, if you need a randomizer, you can use the @r selector to choose a random armor stand. Much easier to set up and more versatile than any other randomiser.

An "Item randomizer" is not a feature of Minecraft.

What exactly is the bug ?

As it says in the description, in previous updates, an item fired upwards from a dropper into a block would cause the item to be thrown in a random direction. In 1.8 however, the item always goes the same way. Since the original behavior was buggy anyway, this change isn't really a bug itself.
