Cannot ride a baby horse after feeding it and making it an adult

When I fed my baby horse apples, it became an adult. I right-clicked trying to ride on it, but it wouldn't let me get on and would point me in an odd direction. I spawned an adult horse and was able to ride it so I guess this is a problem with baby horses. - Picture Not Needed
