[MC-7744] Lily pads (and probably other items) appear grey when held by zombies

I encountered a zombie brandishing a grey lily pad in release 13w03a.
(See also old bugs MC-222 and MC-2593)

May also apply to other third parties (players, skeletons) carrying ferns, grass or other biome-coloured items.

I can confirm this for 1.5. It also includes vines, fern and grass. (Not the block)

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
