Modern laptops let you run games on either intel graphics or the much more powerful nvidia GPU.
By default, the choice is set to "auto" in the Nvidia control panel, all games I've come across so far have correctly picked the discrete GPU except minecraft.
reproduce: load the game and hit F3, check gpu at top right
workaround: change the default in the nvidia control panel from "auto" to "high performance nvidia processor"

Is this still an issue in the current Minecraft Snapshot 15w47c or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
I'm currently on a clean install of Windows 10, can't even get it to run. Crashes ~10 seconds after loading into a single player world.
I'm sorry but I don't have time to troubleshoot this any further...
@unknown: This are broken Intel graphics card drivers, see MC-32606
