Sound engine re-init sometimes resets master volume in PulseAudio

In some cases, Minecraft will reset the system Master volume in PulseAudio to 100% when it loads the sound engine. I triggered it by applying resource packs and changing the language while connected to a multiplayer server, but it is not reliable.

I'm doubting about this one. Normally bug reports are for vanilla thingies and resources packs aren't 100% vanilla I think.

About what kind of servers are we talking about?

force a crash while in the server by pressing f3+c for 10 seconds and attach it here

Server is vanilla 1.8.3, downloaded directly from minecraft.net. I'm attaching a crash log now.
The RPs in question both contain sound effects and one contains a custom language, the application of which triggers the bug most reliably.

@NekoJonez

Resource packs are completely vanilla. They are supported by Mojang and bug reports are accepted for them.

Is this still an issue in the current Minecraft Snapshot 15w47c or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

If so, please attach the Game output console of the Launcher after having this issue.

Ticket resolved as incomplete, because no answer in a reasonable amount of time (1+ year), if it still happens, please update the ticket.
