[MC-79431] Multiplayer Piston Glitch!

I was playing on my favorite minecraft server and I try out one of my friend's machines. When I looked at the piston, a vertical sticky piston was sticking out!

UPDATE: I found out the vertical sticky piston acts like a solid block, even though there is not 2 pistons. I also broke the non bugged piston, and the vertical part of the piston was still there.

Is this still an issue in the current Minecraft Snapshot 15w47c or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
