What I expected to happen was I would join the world and play minecraft normally.
What actually happened was I loaded Minecraft (this took a lot longer than usual), I entered the world, I crashed instantly and came up with a crash report. But sometimes it would say "Java(TM) Platform SE binary has stopped working: A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." I have already updated the video card driver and Java and tried re-installing Minecraft.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start up Minecraft.
2. Enter any world.
3. Crash.

yes it crashes in 1.8.4.
I'll add a crash report for single player.
Also it doesn't crash when i play Tekkit or Attack of the B-Team
Is this still an issue in the current Minecraft Snapshot 15w49b or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
Your crash report says
Minecraft Version: 1.8
, does it also crash in 1.8.4? (I guess because you selected it as affected version, but I want to be sure). Can you maybe add the*Game Output*
and the*Launcher Log*
as well?
