Group of mobs sometimes naturally spawn on the biome connected to it. I cannot say how to reproduce it because it happens naturally.
What I expected to happen:
Mobs should only spawn on the biome.
What happened:
Mobs spawn on the biome connected to the biome mobs should spawn.

I saw pack of wolves and a pig spawned on the desert biome. Then I saw the taiga biome, which the mobs should spawn in. They are near the border of the two biomes.
Is this still an issue in the most recent versions (currently that is 1.10.2, or 16w43a) of Minecraft? If so, please update the affected versions and help us keeping this ticket updated from time to time. If you are the owner/reporter of this ticket, you can modify the affected version(s) yourself.
You're probably talking about pack spawning. What biome are you talking about? Where exactly did the mobs spawn and did they spawn together with some more that did spawn in their correct biome?
