Player in the Inventory is not displaying correctly when not holding an item in the first slot!

The player model should display correctly in the inventory in all cases.

When the player wasn't holding an item in the first slot, the display of the player turned around and didn't display the skin/cape correctly.

EDIT: I have now tried this method and it happened the first time but now it's stuck on the incorrect display. Also, I have found this only to happen in modes that aren't Creative.

1. Hold an item in the first slot of the hotbar.
2. Open the inventory.
3. Move the item anywhere else in the inventory and the player model displays incorrectly.

i'm having a similar issue but it is based on how many items i have in my hotbar

to recreate

1.launch minecraft 15w31a
2.get on any world
3.switch to survival if not already in survival
4.open inventory with no items in hotbar
5.put 2 items in hotbar

Just uploaded some screenshots the glitch as seen in Snapshot 15w31b from every angle, all 9 of them. I have no idea how many times this happened in the past without me noticing it.
EDIT: just realized this glitch only applies to the survival inventory as the creative inventory works fine
