[MC-84519] Golden apple offhand glitch

I was holding steak in my main hand and a golden apple in my off hand. I right clicked, and I didn't hold. After a second, I lost a golden apple and got the effects

Confirmed. Works with fishing rods and probably any item with a right-click action.

The thing is, it didn't show me eating it. I accidentally right clicked, then a second later I got the effects.

Was able to reproduce with 16w14a (oldest snapshot available via the launcher, just to see if I can reproduce it with an older version), but no longer can reproduce it in 16w36a. So it's fixed it seems.
