[MC-84525] Using older resourcepacks when the launcher starts causes black screen in a world

Whenever I start the launcher with a 1.8 resource pack, Everything except the GUI is black. If I change it back to default, the black screen is still up, but if I restart with the launcher, start the world, then change the pack, it's working properly

It seems also updated resource packs cause this...

Although I just changed the version in the mcmeta, so I'm not sure the file structure is ok.

Is this still an issue in 15w44b? If so, please explain the issue in detail and provide steps to reproduce it. Please also attach the affected resource pack. If it contains shaders, please force a crash by holding F3+C for 10 seconds and attach the resulting crash report as well.
