Mobs turn in circles on chorus flower/plant

When I spawn mobs with eggs on chorus plant or chorus flower, they can still move but they keep turning in circles when they do.
This doesn't seem to affect slimes and rabbits because they jump instead of walk. It affects all mobs that walk or glide across the ground, including blazes.
It also happens when I spawn them on other surfaces and then have them walk onto to the chorus plant/flower.
