so i have this minigame, and i have to teleport players around sometimes
however i have noticed that, when a player is teleported to an unloaded chunk, he/she loads said chunk, and starts the redstone there, but area command blocks (r=3 for exaimple) or command blocks searching for this player, fail to find them, even when the player is in raange
disconnecting and reconnecting solves said problem temporaily
i have the feeling its the same bug stated here: MC-87992
i think the not-chunk-loading got fixed by the optimizations, but the redstone/player-position part still isnt fixed
