The boat hitbox is too small. I think someone forgot to change it when the boats got updated.

This is because boats can rotate, and hitboxes can't (as of now), in order for this to be fixed mojang needs to switch to OBB for hitboxes, instead of AABB, and that is a major change, @unknown has show intrest in this tho, but until then this is working as intended

yet this is working as intended for now, the hitbox can't rotate (MC-91376) and thus they chose these sizes because the legth is way longer than the widt, and makking it bigger would only make it a more awkward hitbox.
this is the best size for a hitbox that it's not really too small, nor too big
