When working on a redstone machine I have notice that hoppers do not update correctly, according to redstone power. What should happen is that the hopper should be disabled when powered and enabled when unpowered. However I have noticed that when the hopper os powered, you need to open its GUI for it to realise it is deactivated, the same happens when you turn the power off. This breaks many redstone machines, please fix this.
this is a functional issue. The steps can be, as shown on the photos, place a redstone line on hoppers and power it, or use the item sorting system by ImpulseSV found here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHjWYCDYJ4s and after a while the hoppers malfunction again. Also the hoppers stop being able to take in items.
Noticed on both survival and creative game modes

It effects every hopper in the line, and it also occurs when a redstone block powers the hopper or if a block with lever powers it, these are all the tests I have done so far, let me know if there is anything else you need to know
Hoppers flowing into other hoppers now overrides the "powered; I shouldn't accept items" thing... sounds like an easyish fix.
I just noticed: your game is modded. We only accept reports for the unmodified version of the game. Is this still an issue in 15w51b? If so, please provide some screenshots showing a hopper setup that doesn't work as expected.

Is this MC-97573?
indeed it is redstone helper, but I initially posted this is January, before that post but nothing was ever done about it, it was marked as resolved when actually it hadn't been
Linking to MC-97573 since that one has more activity.
Does this affect every hopper in the line or only some of them?
