no name color when using /say

When you use /say, it doesn't use the team color you are on. This may be because /say on a server uses the server to say the message.

This is because the name of a Command Block is not matched with Player names. A command block can't be on any teams. A player can.

He doesn't using a command block.

The [name] thing is clearly showing that a renamed command block is saying it...

...wait... If you say something with /say as a player it does this too?

This is not done via command block.

If you use /say, it will put your name in square brackets rather than triangle brackets.
