Comparator won't detect signal if placed verticaly next to the block, which is powered by a chest filled by items.

After filling up the chest, the block next to it should power both comparators. Unfortunately it didn't power the comparator, which was placed verticaly to that block.

I can confirm, but I am not sure if comparators are suppose to receive a signal from the block touching a container.

Yeah, maybe it should not, because you can't send a signal from a block to an another.

Trapped chests are the only chests that send a signal through a block (the one below them).

The comparator is meant to check the chest, but if it's not touching the chest it can't check it.
