Glowstone in off hand, invisible block glitch

What I expected to happen was: I would eat the chicken in my leading hand and not place the glow stone in my off hand because i was not aiming at a block in reach of my block placing distance.

What actually happened was: When i was holding the glow stone in my off hand, and the cooked chicken in my leading hand (slot 5), i went to eat the chicken, to restore my hunger (i was 1 1/2 drumsticks down on my hunger bar) and when the eating animation and sound animation stopped the glowstone placed on a block that i was in block placing distance of and instantly everything except entity's went completely invisible. (armor stands, Chests, Item frames, skeletons, Grass, Snow layers, and a few random Grass blocks did not go invisible. (as you can see in the picture below)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Hold glow stone in your off hand

2. Have cooked chicken in slot 5 in your primary hand (i don't know if it matters if it is chicken or not, it could just be any edible item).

3. While looking at a block above you (I do not know if it matters if it is above you i just know that's when it happened for me) that is within your block placing limit (were it gives the black outline on the block you are looking at) begin eating the food and when the animation and sound effect of eating ends it should produce the glitch.
