Minecraft Dungeons II Deluxe was purchased on the main Switch 2 account, but the game is used exclusively by my son’s profile.
Since launch, the game had only been played on my son’s profile but the cape and pets are not accessible and we are prompted to upgrade to deluxe.
Today we opened the main profile and all the deluxe features are accessible there.
Is this working as intended or is this a bug?
I was under the impression the deluxe features were not profile restricted.

I have the same issue on PS5 as well and made a similar ticket, please vote on it as well to elevate this issue. If this was a true marketing choice and is working as intended, then I'd never had pre-ordered or bought deluxe edition as I too have kids playing co-op on this system that want access to the bonus content as well.
I have the same issue on Switch 2, my son’s profile is linked to the US eshop. We have a European physical pre order copy of the Deluxe edition so I had to redeem the code on a different local profile linked to the UK eshop, and now the deluxe content is inaccessible by my son’s profile. He is literally crying… being a huge Minecraft fans and waiting for this game.
Confirming same issue on Switch 1. I would expect the Deluxe content to be available across all local accounts on a device and if not the case, this should have been made clearer in the console shop's description. Best part of £20 wasted on inaccessible birthday gift content.
