Pre-order and Deluxe DLC inaccessible on other Switch accounts

I pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition on the Nintendo Switch eShop for my son, weeks ago. Game released today, and somehow the pre-order bonus AND the Hero DLC is only available on MY Nintendo Switch account.

All other Nintendo Switch accounts (on the same device) say "You need to upgrade to the Deluxe Edition."

I have the dang Deluxe Edition. DLC/bonuses should populate to all Switch user accounts, like every other Switch game.

Please help, son is in tears, he saved up his own money to buy this and now he’s getting the shaft. It doesn’t appear he’ll ever be able to access the pre-order bonus or the Deluxe Edition DLC (not the stuff that hasn’t released yet, I’m talking about the content that’s available in the Deluxe package at launch, it’s only available to one account, mine)

Before you resolve this as a duplicate, please note that I am unable to view ticket MCD2-42, therefore will not be able to follow that outcome.

Also experiencing this, including the tears in the kids’ faces: we have one Nintendo switch 2, it’s completely expected that when we buy a license on that device all of the users of that device can use the license.

I have this same issue as well. I always purchase Switch 2 games on MY account for my son to play. Obviously easier for managing things as a parent. My son plays those games on HIS account - and can’t access any of the Deluxe content. He waited so long for this and is a huge Minecraft Dungeons fan - and was really bummed he couldn’t enjoy the exclusive content on day one. Very odd and confusing that he can play the game, but not the extra content we purchased.

We are having the same issue. Our child saved up for the preorder of this game, and now all of the bonus items are locked to my (parent) account. In the past 9 years of this console’s life, I can’t think of a single other game that has handled content (DLC, deluxe edition, preorder bonuses, etc) in this way. Can this be corrected systemwide, or is it possible to generate a promo code for those of us who are experiencing this issue?

I know it’s a small thing in the grand scheme of things, but it’s a big deal for the little ones who are most excited about your products.

Ok. How would you describe ignoring the tears of your core constituency (multiple examples above) and just “there’s a linked bug that you can’t view, we’re looking into it” as the sole response?

Absolute radio silence for those who spent $50 for a Deluxe Edition and instead received the $30 base game instead is unacceptable, some might even say “hugely disrespectful”. Escalate this to your senior leaders please, this is shocking and outrageous.

Nothing is being ignored though? You have made a bug report, it has already been reported so this is a duplicate, and was resolved as such. The parent report is private as it contains private information, hence why it won’t appear for you as link on this report.

There hasn’t been radio silence, as the parent report has been logged by Mojang, and this report has had traction hence our conversation.

Again, happy to discuss further on discord if you’d like to.

10 days since the release. Mojang has all the money I paid for the Deluxe Edition, and yet I do not have a functional Deluxe Edition. No clarity, no updates, nothing. This sucks, any way you look at it. The poor kids, mine included.
