This is not an account related issue. I have been in contact with Minecraft Support and been told they are unable to resolve the issue (support request #8199207).
Short description:
After playing the Minecraft Dungeons II on the Nintendo Switch 2 using a game key card cartridge, Hero Pack DLC items do not appear in the collectibles inventory.
Steps to reproduce the issue:
Install Minecraft Dungeons II onto a Nintendo Switch 2 system using a game key card.
Using the same Nintendo account, redeem a Hero Pack code in the Nintendo store.
Open Minecraft Dungeons II onto the Nintendo Switch 2.
Select “Play” on the main menu (create a hero if one has not already been created), view the available Hero skins noting the absence of the Steve and Alex options.
Open the player inventory and navigate to the “Collectibles” tab.
Collectibles from the Hero Pack DLC will be missing, despite having been redeemed on the account. Hero skins from the Hero Pack DLC will also be absent in the main menu.
Expected result:
Steve and Alex should appear as playable heroes in the skin selection menu. The Twisted Cape and Twisted Chicken Pet should both appear in the collectibles inventory.
Actual result:
Steve and Alex are absent from the skin selection menu. The Twisted Cape and Twisted Chicken are absent from the collectibles inventory.

I’m having the same issue on my Switch 2 as well. I’ve also redeemed the code in the eShop and it doesn’t appear in the game despite that. I’m happy to know it’s not just me having this issue. Hoping it gets resolved soon!
