Debian/Ubuntu/Mint launcher still warns about a new version after update

Updated launcher via .deb file downloaded from minecraft.net.

When  starting launcher it warns:

Launcher update: A new version of the Launcher is available. Please click here for more details.

After clicking I get dropped on the "Minrcraft: Java Edition für Windows herunterladen."

I need the Windows version like a fish needs a smoke.

As far as I know, Linux users still need to update manually through the different packet managers. Auto-update is still work-in-progress for Linux I think.

Violine1101: Absolutely true.  As I wrote, I updated launcher via .deb file downloaded from minecraft.net.   I might have added that this was today at about  19:25 CET summer  time, i.e. 3 hours ago.

This version in specific looks in the wrong place to find out if there is an update, so the message pops up in error. Will be fixed in the next release.

Thanks.  As a side note: it would be nice (but of course low priority) if there was a repository, so updates would be performed automatically for Ubuntu and Linux Mint users.
