Minecraft Launcher Crashes As Soon As I Hit Play

Ok, so this is my first time installing the game onto this laptop, before I use to play on Windows.

So as soon as I press play Minecraft just crashes, it doesn't even give me an error. I'm not sure if there is something else I have to download so I can play. I've tried everything from restarting, redownloading, and forums are just confusing me.

This is the error it gives me:

Please do not mark unreleased versions as affected.
You don't have access to them yet.

Also getting same exact error. Sometimes closing the error notification box, clicking "Play" again, and then clicking "don't reopen" in the java dialog that opens after that will get the game to start. But sometimes it just happens over and over, and the only way that seems to fix it is a full restart of the Mac.

I'm on same OS version as OP, Minecraft version 1.14.4, and using the bundled jvm (1.8.0_74)

EDIT: Actually, I've noticed now that even restarting the Mac doesn't always correct the issue.

I got the same issue, and it really sucks

Yeah, it's very frustrating. It will stop happening for several days, and then for a few days every other time I try to launch it will throw this error. It seems to go in these weird phases. I have no idea why.

We do not have enough information to find the cause of this issue.

Please attach the crash report found in [minecraft/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt|http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/guides/finding-minecraft-data-folder] here.

I had this issue with forge, but fiddling around with mods folder solved it, I am stating this because you did not state which version of Minecraft you're using, and I need to consider all possibilities, including that you are trying to run forge with mods.

I also have this issue. I got the game a few months ago and I can't seem to find a solution. I also just noticed that I have the exact sam model Macbook as you, so could Minecraft have an issue with this Macbook model?

Everyone reading this ticket, you may not have the same issue as OP (even if it looks the same) and yours might be able to be solved by community support. Please check out the 💬 Community Support Discord server for help with your issue.

That being said, I have left this ticket open since I'm personally not familiar with macOS in any way and am not sure if OP's issue is a technical issue that can be solved by community support or not.

Hi Andrea, are you still experiencing this issue? It might be that this has been fixed over time.
