It hasn't crashed in several days, so launcher_log.txt does not cover the time frame of one of the crashes. I will post one once it begins crashing again. Also, I do not have a minecraft/crash-reports/ folder at all.
Yeah, it's very frustrating. It will stop happening for several days, and then for a few days every other time I try to launch it will throw this error. It seems to go in these weird phases. I have no idea why.
Also getting same exact error. Sometimes closing the error notification box, clicking "Play" again, and then clicking "don't reopen" in the java dialog that opens after that will get the game to start. But sometimes it just happens over and over, and the only way that seems to fix it is a full restart of the Mac.
I'm on same OS version as OP, Minecraft version 1.14.4, and using the bundled jvm (1.8.0_74)
EDIT: Actually, I've noticed now that even restarting the Mac doesn't always correct the issue.
1.11.4 on Switch still has this problem. I can't yet see a pattern. I have no texture packs, just vanilla.
Also happens when you move and pause, and with items.

Also, it has the wrong skin.
I was just wandering around in my world and saw this
Pixdo.et, enderman going outside the world may be intended, but chorus fruit teleporting you outside is definitely a bug
