Minizip error while extracting files - can't get in minecraft

Workaround

Recent comments have stated that this is likely a disk space issue. Try clearing up some space and see if it works.

That just looks like a broken launcher/game file, try reinstalling.

Reopened and moved to MCL, as we're unsure what's causing this issue as of now. Might as well be an issue with the Mojang servers or with something in the internals of the launcher.

I HAVE A SOLUTION

I was having this problem as well and i have found a solution (That worked me atleast)

What you need to do is go to appdata>roaming>.minecraft>libraries>org>lwjgl>lwjgl>3.2.2

Then delete or move the file lwjgl-3.2.2-natives-windows

after you have done this, click this link :

lwjgl-3.2.2-natives-windows.jar to download the file and put it in the same spot where you deleted the previous file. then boot up your game and it should work

Im having the same issue. Game worked just fine a few hours ago but was booted out of my server and got an error saying cannot verify username when i tried to reconnect. Attempted to relaunch now I'm getting this launcher error.

It came shortly after I had my name changed by request by Mojang (someone had previously stolen my account and changed my name), not sure if there's any relation.

Interestingly enough, another game had its save files and user files corrupted; I noticed around the same time I noticed this. Perhaps a disk space issue? Or antivirus/plug-in of some kind is interfering? Not quite sure what's going on.

EDIT: Literally ten minutes after I posted this evrything started working again. I honestly dont know....

Found a temporary fix. It turns out I had my .minecraft files downloading to my C: drive, which was full. If you some files or two and have some free storage you should be able to load the game

This is likely a disk space issue. I was experiencing the same issue, however, after clearing up my drive, the problem is resolved. If you're experiencing the same issue, check if the drive you're trying to launch from is full or close to full. I cleared up ~2.5GB and was able to boot normally.

Prob put the file in the Linux folder for Chromebook that's how i solved mine but it looks like your on windows, increasing the disk space and putting the file in the right area for the launcher to access the needed rescources

I have the same problem. C: Drive is full up, but Minecraft is on E:, which had 86 GB free. What should I do?

Hi there!
Could you answer few questions regarding this issue, it will help with the investigation:

  • Have you tried to clear up the space on the disc drive that Launcher is installed on and on C: drive?

  • Does this issue still occurs to you after applying provided workaround?

  • Could you provide us with more in-depth repro steps?

This ticket will automatically reopen when you reply.
