To whom it may concern,
The world I had created and was working on with my brother has suddenly disappeared. The world itself still exists as a save file, but the world itself seems to have rebooted. Is there any way to retrieve the lost save if a backup wasn't created? The last time we played the world we did nothing differently than we normally did. If someone could please assist, we would be very grateful.

You cannot retrive the save, you would probably be better off using an older version and making the world or making it on your current version but backing up regularly.
