[MCL-18973] Launcher threats 1.18 Experimental Snapshot as a modded version of Minecraft

Once you finish 1.18 Experimental Snapshot setup, you will see that Launcher threats this as a modified version of Minecraft, even though it is made by Mojang.

Mojang made it. Its says its modded version because you can't find it from launcher yet. So Its made by mojang but its not "Ingame" snaphot. You have downloaded it from mojang's website so its not snaphot in launcher. All downloaded minecraft versions from websites (not versions that you can find in launcher) is modded or game decide its modded. Thats why it says its modded version.

Does this issue occur on minecraft.net website/MS store version of the Launcher?
Have you tried to install Launcher from the minecraft.net website/MS store?
