Missing Save Password checkbox option

There is no longer a Save Password option in the Minecraft launcher. This means that it is no longer possible to NOT save the password, a big problem if like me you use PCs that are not exclusively your own PC (e.g. Family or Friends PC or even a public PC).

I have in the past had my account used by a relative for griefing on servers and been banned which taught me not to tick the save password box, but now I don't have a choice. 😞

From the update notes, click the log out button, then click the log out button again.

Thanks Carl, I know you can manually log out of the client, however this needs to be an automated option, not something you have to remember to do, it makes the client highly insecure..

The Launcher does never store any password (like the old launcher), the login is based on a token issued by the authentification server.

The old / previous launcher allowed you to click a save password box which would allow you to have a session based login that would not keep you logged in once you closed MC. this is not the case now and is very insecure as it requires that you log off manually after you have closed MC otherwise someone else using the same PC can load MC and connect to your account and your servers without your consent.

Anyway, what you describe is not a bug, it's intended.
