Upon loading the launcher and logging in, I have a choice between many different options, some of which are represented by drop-down menus, a couple examples being the profile selection menu and the account options menu (found next to the play button and in the top left corner of the screen respectively). I can open these menus just fine, but when trying to select an option in the menu (for example, trying to switch from the latest release profile to latest snapshot) using left click, the menu is closed and the click instead interacts with whatever was behind the drop-down menu. However, options in a drop-down menu can be interacted with by hovering over the desired option and pressing the "enter" key. This makes it possible to select options, but it is a very poor user experience. Please fix, Mojang. This has been in the launcher for a long time now and I would be very happy to see this patched.

Yes, it still occurs. There seems to be no change in bahavior.
I do not have a VPN.
I'm not sure what kind of software might be considered to be incompatable, but if it helps, this problem has occured since I installed my current distribution of Linux. I'm using the LXQt session manager and Openbox window manager.
