Minecraft launcher drop-down lists don't correctly handle mouse clicks on Linux

On Fedora Linux 34, using a freshly downloaded launcher (.tar.gz download), the launcher does not correctly handle mouse clicks in drop down list entries. Clicking the mouse always appears to select the first item in the list.

I first encountered this bug when attempting to set the Minecraft version from the list in "Create new installation", only for it to always use the latest version (release 1.18.2). Then I noticed that the same problem also manifests when trying to delete a profile: the Edit option is selected by the mouse click instead.

The work-around is to press Enter while highlighting the desired option with the mouse.
