I just have the normal launcher is their a different one i need?

Please attach your launcher log files if you're running into this issue - in this folder on your PC:

C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft

where you replace YOURUSERNAME with your username on your PC. And also yes please be sure you're using this Launcher version:
