I was playing, like always, i never close the launcher window. when i closed the game i saw something like that:
Game ended with no troubles detected (exit code 0)
Ok, i closed the game, that what was supposed to happen... But then, i saw something like that:
Deleting C:\Users\MYUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\versions\13w18c\13w18c-natives-12438325536310
Ok, the game is trying to delete some file, i don't know why, i think that is supposed to happen, but then i saw that:
Couldn't delete C:\Users\MYUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\versions\13w18c\13w18c-natives-12438325536310 - scheduling for deletion upon exit
I don't think that is supposed to happen, why the game will try to delete a file, if it is supposed to fail?
Sorry for my bad english, i'm from brazil.
i changed my cumputer user name for the word "MYUSERNAME".

but what is using the file? that happened before i closed minecraft window... is the launcher using it? and, if is supposed toi fail trying deleting the file, why the hell it tries? if the delete command is useless, just make it go way. and what natives do? and why it needs to be deleted?
I am having the same problem every time i try to load the world i have been building for 3 years. I tried loading an old test-world (had to convert it first) and that worked fine.
At first when this problem occured i could restart the game and sometimes it would crash again, other times it wouldn't ... so i could still play on ... untill today when i was no longer able to load it no matter how many times i tried.
What can i do to get back into my world ? I really don't want to lose it after 3 years. The game crashing is an incovenience but losing my world forever would be a disaster for me 😞
Thanks in advance for the help.
in the .minecraft\saves\worldname try deleting everything but level.dat (make a backup before, you could lose your world) is this doesn't work, try posting the crash report here, and also the level.dat file, with the crash report we can see what is making your world crash, and i could try to use MCEdit to delete the problematic tile/entity/tile entity
This is because on windows, any file open cannot be removed.
We wait around for a little bit to delete the files after closing but if they are still loaded within windows there is just no way to remove it.
We'll just try to remove the files the next time you start the game (or any time after if they are still there)
That was the only sane way to work around this horrible windows behaviour.
