When I tried to open the Minecraft Launcher today it reported that it was downloading files for an update and then the launcher crashed.
If I delete the .minecraft directory then I am able to launch the Minecraft Launcher but cannot re-install Minecraft because I get an error that the download speed is too low. I performed a speedtest and at the time my internet had a download speed of 54 Mbps, which should be more than sufficient.
When the Launcher does open, it has a message:
"A new Launcher update is ready. Restart the Launcher to use the latest version."
However, when I restart the launcher, it returns to downloading files and crashing.
If I check my "Settings" in the Minecraft Launcher:

Is there some way that I can re-install the Minecraft Launcher or force the update?
The updateLog file in .minecraft says that the update was successful but there is clearly something not working.

Lo mismo en windows 7, tengo que apagar el adaptador de red antes de arrancar el launcher y despues activarlo para poder jugar.
Hi there!
Does this issue occur on the newest version?
Did Launcher finally updated correctly?
Does this issue occur on BETA version of Launcher?

Can you please upload launcher_log file from .minecraft folder?
Also uninstall the Launcher, delete .minecraft folder (copy its content elsewhere before deletion), download Launcher once more from minecraft.net and then reinstall, restart your computer. Then please try to boot the Launcher.

I have the same problem. I have Windows 10, MC 1.19.4 and can no longer start the MC-Launcher, it starts always the update and gets stuck at about 3/4 during the update. Tried to uninstall it and do a fresh install (with new MinecraftInstaller.msi), that works, but it shows an info that there is a new version and it will be update on next start of the MC-Launcher. As soon i close it and start it again an update starts and get stuck again and repeats endless.
