Refusing to update to 1.20.11

Long and short of it, Minecraft Bedrock is refusing to pull the new 1.20.11 update via the launcher. As in, it seems to think that the only version presently up is the 1.20.10 version.

In other words, the launcher is not pulling, or installing in the new 1.20.11 update, that was just released a number of hours ago on PC.

Running Windows 10, Home Edition. Fully updated.

Running launcher version 2.5.9-1.2.16

I've completely cleared Minecraft, and the Launcher off my PC when I noticed the issue. Reinstalled both. No dice.

Time on my PC is set correctly.

No clue as to how to fix this. But until I receive the update, I'm unable to join others via crossplay, as Xbox has officially hit the 1.20.11 update on their servers.

Thank you for your report!
However, this issue is Working as Intended.

The report you have submitted is working as intended: Minecraft: Bedrock Edition 1.20.10 has been released and the update will show up as 1.20.11 on Xbox only (https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/articles/17381681401357).

Please note, that mechanics of the game may change between updates.
Things such as graphics, sounds, world creation, biomes, redstone, villagers, and animals may not work the same in current versions.

Unfortunately Turbo, it isn't. I was unable to connect to servers running 1.20.11 on Xbox, while running 1.20.10 on PC. Either some form of update didn't come in, or something janky is going on.

I am having this problem too. Minecraft for Xbox is on 1.20.11, Minecraft Bedrock for PC is on 1.20.10. I have seen this is intended, but they are now not compatible with each other. LAN sessions are not working, joining either world shows the message "outdated server". I have even purchased a realm on the xbox, and the PC bedrock client cannot join as it shows the message "realm has updated". Why would the version number be split across bedrock versions ? Why were all clients not pushed to 1.20.11?

It is intentional that Xbox and servers are on 1.20.11, but cross-play between 1.20.10 and .11 should be working correctly, including on Realms. Could you please confirm if you are still unable to connect between versions, and if so, provide more details about how you're connecting? (eg Xbox Live multiplayer, LAN, or Realms?)

But now I can't work on my project yet once again after putting 1yr & 6m into it again.. plz find a fix make another update or jus dont update as a developer myself and I taught one self. I ask that u take the time to listen to you community I been playin minecraft for 15+ years when there was nothing in the game something I'm proud of cause I learn so much and it kept me focused on not getting in trouble irl I hope one day I can work for mojang so I can help with these issues and give the community what they been asking for since the game dropped and if u ask me yall should listen up to what everyone got to say we love minecraft....

Thy Prophecy1 sends his regards

End of transmission....

Ok my bad, it seems I hadnt updated the windows client. I am used to Java so I had thought the minecraft launcher would take care of the bedrock updates. Going into the microsoft store and updating minecraft there fixed all the issues. Sorry for wasting your time.

I deleted my whole minecraft after backing up everything to no ends what have yall done I can't even connect to friends I can play by myself and if I wanted to do that well hmm I don't 🤔  my pc is still in 1.20.10 and I deleted this game and reinstall it 4 times how u gonna break a game that been working for so long when it comes to connecting yall so busy adding in stuff we don't need when we can jus mod ourself and destroying people's worlds some people put more time then 2 years in but ohhh look there'd an update now your world is corrupted or u can't join your friends or something it's always something it's frustrating I been waiting and working to fix my minecraft since this update assists would be nice

Issue fixed now 😑

If u run into this problem it's normal jus back your worlds up and delete minecraft and reinstall it and the launcher too then restart you pc and load up and try to join a friend if that doesn't work it's ok close the game and load it up until it does then you have done it 🫡

Gonna try to join my pc world from my xbox ill keep yall updated on my progress
