Can't change version of new installaion

Changing the current version to play or changing the version of a new installation doesn't work, the version stays as the latest minecraft version. This is a problem with the AUR launcher and i've also tried it on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (with openjdk-21) with the .deb package from the minecraft downloads page and still had a similar problem.

Hi!

Can you please check your 'Home' page (enable it in 'Settings') and see if you can select versions of it?

Can you also see if you can choose versions in 'Installations' tab in Java?

This ticket will automatically reopen when you reply.

It appears the problem has disappeared. I can change the version to play on the home page and the java edition page and change the version of the a new installation, (with and without the homepage enabled)

Great to hear! Closing this as Cannot Reproduce.

Actually, im using Gnome as my desktop environment and I've just realised that this is an issue when running an Xorg session. The Ubuntu instance I tested was also running Gnome on Xorg.
This doesn't appear running Gnome under a Wayland session. The home page still works for both though.
