Terminating renderer for bad IPC message, reason 213

I notice that the new launcher cannot log in due to CEF crash under Linux.

It can show up to the step of entering the mail addrerss and then immediately crash.

Hi there!
Please, attach screenshots or video of the issue/error prompt.

Please also uninstall the Launcher, delete .minecraft folder (copy its content elsewhere before deletion) and then reinstall, restart your computer. Then please try to boot the Launcher.
Can you also see if this issue occurs on the BETA version of the Launcher?
Also, please see this article Secure Token Storage Failure on Linux |  https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/4408668374925-Secure-Token-Storage-Failure-on-Linux
Also please see this issue MCL-20834

This ticket will automatically reopen when you reply.

Hi, I did a clear reinstall, same result. I attached video. It is not either of those secure token, the CEF stopped before that. Also the launcher works 2-3 mouths ago.

I had the same issue with my Fedora 39 (Linux 6.11) desktop and MacBook Pro (Sonoma 14.6.1). I managed to solve it by disabling my VPN and then trying to log in. It seems like CEF doesn't like having a VPN running at the same time.

You should still be able to log in even if you don't have a working credential manager, it just wont save the login token for next time.

Your issue may actually be related to MCL-24812

I'm having the same issue after a fresh install of the Minecraft Launcher on Linux Mint 21.3.  I've attached a screenshot of the (black) login window alongside the output to the terminal.  The red box shows the lines that appeared after I pressed the Microsoft Login button.

Edit:  I should note, I installed the Debian package, which I probably shouldn't have done in Linux Mint.  I uninstalled it, switched to the flatpak version, and everything's working fine.

Fix creative mode. placing items goes too fast and skips blocks

I hit this issue and found my network ad-blocker (PFBlockerNG) was intercepting/blocking access to fpt.live.com, causing this issue:

Removing that domain from the block list resolved the issue, and the Microsoft login page would render properly.

I was having this issue as well, and the solution was to change my routers IPv4 DNS router to something standard like Google 8.8.8.8. The interference was caused by my pi-hole network ad blocker, like mentioned above.
