“Sign in to Minecraft” window flickers than disappears

Description

I wanted to sign in through the Minecraft Launcher. When I clicked "MICROSOFT LOGIN", a window popped out. The login menu showed for a moment then disappeared.

Things tried

I have tried all the followings:

  • Waiting for the login menu to load for ≥ 2 minutes (and it still didn't appear);

  • - Reinstall the Minecraft Launcher;

  • Delete the followings:

    ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft
    ~/Library/Caches/com.mojang.minecraft
    ~/Library/Saved Application State/com.mojang.minecraft

    Then reinstall the Minecraft Launcher;

  • Startup my Mac with safe boot (and the Minecraft Launcher is still not working);

  • Update my Java;

  • Temporarily disabling my antivirus/firewall software.

Regarding the two questions,

  1. I have tried reproducing this issue on the newest version, v3.2.21-2.1.3. This issue still occurs.

  2. As I have mentioned, I have tried to startup my Mac with safe boot, which means no software (except the system required), will be launched in start-up. Therefore, I didn't use any VPN or the imcompatible software mentioned.

Steps to reproduce

  1. In /Applications, double click Minecraft.app, or launch Minecraft application through Launchpad or Dock.

  2. Press the "MICROSOFT LOGIN" button.

  3. A window will pops out and the issue happens.
