I’ve been noticing an issue where, as best I can tell, on first launch after a reboot, the launcher will not load fully.
Steps to reproduce:
Reboot system.
Open Minecraft launcher.
Note that it does not load fully, preventing use; the launcher window’s title text disappears, and the window itself is gray.
Close the launcher, and reopen it.
It should now load fully.
Expected result: The launcher should load fully, even on the first launch after a reboot.
Actual result: It does not load fully on first launch after a reboot, requiring the launcher to be closed and reopened before it will work as intended.

I captured some video using the built-in app, but apparently due to the nature of the issue, the video recording cuts just as the issue occurs.
[media]The above video is from before the window goes gray, and the window title disappears.
The below video is captured starting immediately after, when the window is gray, and without title.
[media]Also attached the full launcher_log.txt file.
[media]No other instances of the launcher could be found to be running after closing it.
Thanks for Reporting but i think this issue could also appear due to a wrong configurated Gamefile or a missing Update for the Minecraft Launcher. Please try and check out these things:
is the Launcher fully Updated?
Run as Administrator and check if it works
Clear the “Launcher Cache”
Reinstall the Launcher
Thanks again! -Toucka
I have experienced this same issue where the launcher for Mac OS fails to update and open once installed. (1) I downloaded the file here. (2) I install it on the Mac computer. (3) I launch it. (4) The program starts to open and install updates. (5) Then it fails to load and it will not open. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it more than 5 times, and restarted the computer. I make sure that I am logged in to my minecraft and microsoft accounts, but it will not load. I paid for the application, but if it can’t work, I’d like a refund.

After closing the launcher, please open task manager and search for any instances of the launcher that may still be running.
