Everytime i open the minecraft launcher the versions tab only says “latest release” with empty text under it. Everytime i try to go to the installations tab and try to click new installations it says “Whoops!”. i already tried logging in and out multiple times. Even reinstalling the launcher a couple of times and it still doesn't work.

The problem is that when i do click “new installations” it just comes up with a “Whoops!” screen and nothing else i can do from there.

Can you provide logs and crash dumps? You can find them at %appdata%\.minecraft
Have you tried reinstalling the launcher and the Minecraft game? (Remember to create backup files before doing so.)

per una soluzione temporanea: quando sei su installazioni premi “Nuova installazione” o new installation e metti la versione che ti interessa e crea l’installazione poi gioca. È temporanea perché dovrai rifare questo ogni volta che esce una nuovo versione
