The Minecraft Launcher will use the pre 26.1 JVM args for any 26.1 installation that has been modified (ie. fabric/neoforge)
Important Note: I am aware that Fabric/Neoforge are unofficial third party modloaders. However in this case there is a bug on the launchers side and I believe it should be fixed on Mojangs side.
TLDR: Dear moderators please let Mojang triage this at least.
Reproduction Steps:
- Download the Fabric installer from https://fabricmc.net/use/installer/
- Install a 26.1 Fabric instance
- Open the Minecraft Launcher
- Check the JVM Arguments for the Fabric 26.1 installation
Observed Results:
- The 26.1 Fabric installation is using pre-26.1 JVM args
Expected Results:
- It would be using the 26.1 JVM args

However, this issue is Invalid
Your game, launcher or server is modified.
If you can reproduce the issue in a vanilla environment, please recreate the issue.
Any non-standard client/server/launcher build needs to be taken up with the appropriate team, not Mojang.
A world which had previously been opened with a modified client might be corrupted. Please try reproducing the issue in a newly generated world.
Any plugin issues need to be addressed to the creator of the plugin or resource pack.
If you have problems on large servers like Hypixel, please contact them first as they run modified server software.
