Sub-Par Performance when Typing

While typing in my username and password, the text fields seem to update slow, only about every second or so. For someone like me where I can type fairly fast, completing my login information in only a few seconds, it gets annoying to have to wait for the text fields to update so I can then hit the login button.

Note: Selected "Future Version" since an option for Linux is not available (Probably should be added)

Since the bot keeps changing the version to one that is invalid for this issue, please refer to the note in the description.

Well, what actually is your launcher version? You didn't mention it anywhere.

@violine1101 It was in the Environment field, but to make it easier, I moved it to the description

Btw, the version might seem to be out of date, but it is the latest version from mc-staging
(verified via package installer)

Wait, has the new launcher still not been released for Linux? 2.0.931 doesn't seem to be too outdated though, the latest version for Windows is 2.0.934.

I guess this could be a Linux-specific issue. Cannot confirm though as I don't have Linux.

Just took a video of the amount of lag that is occurring. Note the system time in the bottom left keeps ticking and the cursor stops blinking between updates to the text field.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft Launcher version 2.0.1003 / 2.0.1004? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases. If this has been done, we can reopen the issue.

Keep in mind that the "Resolved"-Status on this ticket just means "Answered", and that we are waiting for further information on whether this issue still exists or not. It will be reopened it as soon as the requested information has been delivered.
