New Launcher doesn't work with custom windows 7 themes...

When I open the new minecraft launcher, The tumblr feed loads and the two tabs at the top load but the right panel fails to load while I have my custom theme selected when I switch to windows 7 default theme the right panel loads but the versions combobox is empty, and forces me to start the launcher with windows 7 default theme... I'm not asking for anything to be change because of me but is it possible to force a java look-n-feel?

EDIT1:
Ran the launcher via command line and got the following error.

C:\Users\Cory\Documents\Minecraft>java -jar minecraftdev.jar

What did you use to modify your theme? (Can you upload it somehow or link to it?)

If you had to modify any system dlls for it, I think the answer might be: 'you are on your own, you break it? you get it broken'.

If not, I should be able to replicate it with the information in your reply. If we're unable to fix it we could add an option to force the 'Metal' them in java.

Edit: a quick google for the install instructors of 'Blade black win7' gave me: http://extremewin.blogspot.se/2011/04/universal-theme-patcher-instructions.html

You better tell the people doing these horrible hacks they should still have their hacky stuff report the right information back for systems that depend on it.

I used UxStyle(http://www.uxstyle.com/ - allows use of unsigned themes), you install that and then just copy the theme(http://virtualcustoms.net/showthread.php/40726-Blade) C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\. as for the link you posted I've never seen that patcher.

So these are system wide (and apparently breaking) library changes.

It changes where the windows7 theme manager looks for a themes images, rather than looking in the dll files it looks into a folder in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\<Theme_Name>\<dll_name>\<image>.png so as for your question I'm not sure. If worse comes to worse I can just swap to play minecraft

So from the lack of another reply I assume I'm just going to have to swap to play minecraft.

From the lack of reply you can deduce I actually have more to do than idle on this website during my weekend 🙂

I don't really know what to do with this, it seems to just break and there is nothing we can do to either detect or mend it.

It is and thank you @Dinnerbone and @Grum
