[MCL-99] When playing 1.5.1 or below in new launcher, multiplayer connections don't work

When trying to connect to a server when playing 1.5.1 and below using the new launcher, you cannot log in. The screen will stick at "Logging In", then after a while give the error "Timed out".

You only play 1.6snapshots and 1.6 and up in the new launcher. sorry.
