Sometimes it's the normal pause menu we all know but sometimes it's looking like this.

-Mojang has updated the pause menu - all buttons are now wider in length, unless you are talking about something else.-
Since it has been confirmed for now I will retract the suggestion that it is intentional until an update has been given
I believe you can copy the one from https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/addons that isn't updated yet - scroll until you see Download these zips of the resource packs, and launch it as an mcpack. Try searching online or asking on minecraft's community discord server for more information

@unknown: What Rice has done is create a resource pack that people can use to work around the issue if they find it too troublesome. At the present time we don't know whether the change to button widths was supposed to happen. We're waiting for Mojang to either fix it or tell us it was intentional.

yeah i have the same bug in v1.16.40! Mojang please fix it!!!!
