I had a enchanted fishing rod with unbreaking 2, luck of the sea 2 and lure 3. With that fishing rod in my inventory, I took another fishing rod to enchant.In the enchantment table i selected the original fishing rod. The black screen over items which are already enchanted disappeared on the enchanted fishing rod.
Then i backed out of the enchantment table to check what happened. My original enchantments had disappeared!

Anvil does this too. This has caused me to lose several heavily enchanted items. I just store my really good item instead of repairing them. Also store items until later when they fix this, if I want to stack enchantments . When I am enchanting new items I dont have any enchanted items on my character. Anvil does this too.
Yep, I have lost several enchants by enchanting a few swords without exiting the table GUI, they just disappeared. I also lost enchants when trying to combine enchanted items in an anvil. (I'm playing MCW10E)
Though I'm not sure this is exactly the same problem, anvils have a similar issue (MCPE-10411):
I had an unenchanted diamond pickaxe and two enchantment books, one having Unbreaking II and another having Silk Touch I. When I combined the pickaxe with the book of Silk Touch in an anvil, the combination itself succeeded (I mean I got a pickaxe with Silk Touch I) but the book of Unbreaking in my inventory somehow transformed into a book of Silk Touch I as if the anvil mistakenly consumed Unbreaking instead of Silk Touch.
I just tested 0.12.2 alpha / iOS and was no longer able to reproduce. Both enchantment table and anvil were working correctly.
Does anyone still see the bug?
