Held blocks and items don't render properly while inside the nether portal

When you hold any blocks/items on your hand, it doesn't render properly or even not render at all when you're entering the nether portal.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Pick any blocks/items.
2. Go enter the nether portal in survival mode but don't change dimensions.
