Changing the time with RTX/ray tracing results in rendering errors

THE BUG :

While changing the day-time, the Ray-Traced renderer does not work as intended.

We can compare that with the COVID-19 speading all arround the world (the world is going black).

HOW TO REPRODUCE :

Resource pack used : https://mazewave.github.io/vanilla-raytraced

Try to change the time of the world using /time set day/midnight while moving arround.

It will not work everytime, good luck with this.

MY CONFIGURATION :

RTX 2060 (6GB VRAM)
Ryzen 5 2600 (6Cores / 12 Threads)
2x8 GB of RAM DDR4 3000MHz CL 15

System : Windows 10 Professionnal Version 2004 (19041.572)

UPDATE :

The bug still occurs on last stable version of Minecraft such as 1.16.221

Same exact problem, even with the official release of RTX and up to date drivers.

Let us know if issue still occurs. If so, can you please add it to the affected versions (or mention it if you are not the reporter).

I found that this bug is possible to reproduce in the last stable version 1.16.221:

How to reproduce :
1 : Create a perfetc mirror texture, if you don't wanna create a PBR resource pack, here is one :
2 : Make a flat word
3 : Create a giant cube : 115x20x155 (x/y/z), the cube need to have the mirror texture when Ray-Tracing is switched ON.
4 : Go in the cube you have just created and seal it. (Do not get any light in)
5 : Turn ON Ray-Tracing.

If it works as intended, you will see a dark world (because the cube is seal)

6 To make the bug occur, you'll need to toggle ON/OFF Ray-Tracing fast enough to make the DXR engine to create theses artfects shown before. You can use the "$" key to toggle ON/OFF Ray-Tracing while playing (AZERTY keybord layout because I'm French)

After few tries, it should work.

Bonus step : If it doesn't work in 1.16.221, place some emmissive blocks such as sea lantern or shroomlight; You can download the Main resource pack used here.

I hope that this might help you. Have a great day !

I was able to reproduce this issue in beta 1.17.0.52 using the exact steps mentioned in the previous comment. I have attached a few screenshots.

Is this still an issue in the latest version? If so, can you add it to the affected versions?

Cleaning up old tickets: This ticket had been set to 'Awaiting Response', but has not received a response from the reporter (~3 months+) so is being closed as Incomplete. If you feel this is still a valid issue then please comment, or create a new ticket following the Issue Guidelines which includes steps to reproduce the problem.
